My dream realized with Kilitwende! - Kilitwende team helped me to realize my dream to climb Kilimanjaro! I'm woman 57 years old and not a good climber. After trekking the team meet us with hot napkins and welcome drink. We had hot water to wash the hands and face and we had comfortable tents for sleeping and eating. Every day our chief cooked tasty dishes: soups, salads, chicken or fish, even pizza and pancakes in the mountains! We had fresh fruits every day that was delivered by porters. When I was about to give up our experienced guides Peter and Sadi inspired me and help to reach the summit! Kilitwende is really dream team!

Kili Twende making my dream come true - Wow! I don’t know where to start. It was my dream since 2020 and it came true this February. Those guys from Kili Twende are amazing. They cared about us... read more from top to the bottom. Each end of the day they brought hot wet towels, white like snow, which is really hard to get in this areas. It is unbelievable how in such hard living conditions they remained human, they laughed, they danced, they supported us. Even when my hands were freezing they heated them with their breath. 8 day Kilimanjaro Northern Circuit - Bobby led a great crew on this fantastic trip on the less travelled Northern Circuit route up Kili. The equipment was all satisfactory, but what really made the trip memorable was the support team of Daniel, the assistant guide, Sady our mess tent fundi (who even served up ginger tea on the summit!), Vitus the chef and our wonderful team of smiling porters. Special plaudits go to Rashidi who carried and maintained our private toilet tent...asante sana. Another nice touch was the hot water bottles provided each night.

Without the support and encouragement of the summit team, we would not have been able to achieve our goal of summiting the highest peak in Africa.

We had our own driver a Moshi friend and we picked up our guide Manessi just outside town.
We headed to the waterfalls about 30 minutes from town.
It... read more was a pleasant walk in lovely mountain scenery 45 minutes each way not too difficult.
I am told by my friend the water was invigorating and certainly the mountain water was clear.
Lunch was at a local cultural centre which laid on a tasty lunch costing of banana soup and a vegetable or meat casserole and great fresh fruit and avocado.
A highlight was the coffee experience telling the story with song and dance!
We enjoyed fresh coffee from the beans we had roasted. It was really well done.
The centre is a go ahead and entrepreneurial place with a shop and coffee for sale and some new quality accommodation for those who fancy an escape in the hill country.

For the Mt. Meru we couldn't have asked for a better experience, with our guides Peter and Daniel we were in best hands: not only were they fun and good to talk to but also extremely professional when it came to climbing the summit and even handling some of our lighter symptoms of altitude sickness - 11/10!
For the safari, it's pretty much the same. We went for the four days / three nights trip to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Even though Serengeti is quite far away, it was absolutely worth going! It is very special and different to the other parcs.
Our guide Jimmy was able to answer all the questions we had about every single detail.
In conclusion we can only recommend planning your Tanzania trip with KiliTwende from the bottom of our heart! Bobby is honestly one of the kindest people there is and answered every single question we had! We are already saving up for our next trip in order to climb the Kilimanjaro with our Rasta friends!
