Join us on a tour of a coffee plantation in Materuni Waterfalls, where you can ask everything you’ve ever wanted to know about where coffee comes from.
You will be picked up in Moshi in the morning and drive to Materuni Village. After arriving and going through the registration process, your trip will begin.
Our hike leads us first to the Materuni waterfalls the relaxed walk takes around 40 minutes. We pass on the way farmland and some village houses before we reach along a small river the waterfalls.
Activities
Waterfalls – experience Materuni Waterfalls, in the forests near Kilimanjaro and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding valleys.
Coffee excursion – Visit coffee farms and a local home where you can enjoy local dishes and learn the traditional process of preparing coffee from bean to your cup while singing and dancing with locals then drop into one of the local Chagga bars to drink the traditional “mbege” a local brew made from millet and banana wine after that you will end your day with Local food from host local chagga family.
